Sox Bloggers goes to Gensan View Resort

One of the most significant dates in the Philippine’s history is Independence Day because it marks the nation’s independence from the Spanish rule on June 12, 1898. Filipinos celebrate it annually on June 12.

The Philippine’s Independence Day is a national holiday so government offices are closed.  There are absolutely no classes in all schools.  Many business establishments are closed except shopping centers. Public transport such as buses, passenger jeeps, and tricycles still operate but their routes may be limited due to the closure of streets used for parades.Ms. Jojie Alcantara

Anyways, I spend the day with a bunch of  SOX Bloggers who has a camera in their hands and trying to get info’s from JOJIE ALCANTARA  a Filipina writer and photographer. ShutterBlog Photography Workshop was organized by Sir Avel and Orman Manansala. This was sponsored by CameraHaus of KCC Mall of Gensan with Project “O” Consultants and Gensan View Resort.

Gensan View Resort offers relaxing cottages and two kiddie pools in the resort. They both feature a wide variety of water contraptions such as: brightly colored slides, water umbrellas, fountains, and many more. Maximum water depth is comfortable at 2 ft. Your children are sure to have such a good time that you’ll find it hard to get them out of the water!

If you want extreme action Zorb Ball is for you. The Zorb Ball is double-sectioned, with one ball inside the other and an air layer between. This acts as a shock absorber for the rider, damping bumps while rolling. It has safety straps inside to keep the riders in place as the ball rolls.

To wrap things up, my experience with this workshop is great. The things I learned from Ms. Jojie Alcantara are Rule of Third,Framing, Portrait, Cropping, Leading Line, importance of Horizon, etc. She also shared her basic editing software, her camera and lenses used during any events. One thing also is that she keep us bloggers laugh with her great punchline. Though I did not win with our photo contest at least I learned a lot from that workshop and there’s always room for improvement. Hope, time will come Ms. Jojie Alcantara, when we see each other again I will be a great photographer like you do.
